I'm a devoted Interior Designer from Long Island, New York, proudly leading Ray George Interiors, a design and decor firm deeply rooted in a familial heritage. The name of my company honors the memory of my late grandfather, a masterful carpenter and bespoke furniture artisan whose dedication to his craft ignited my design journey. My passion for Interior Design began after years of observing and participating in the renovation and remodeling of my childhood home.
My upbringing, infused with Caribbean influences, adds a unique cultural perspective to my design approach. While my personal interior design aesthetic leans towards modern styles, characterized by clean lines, neutral tones and palettes, I find joy in harmonizing the old with the new. I am inspired by the beautiful Architecture all over New York and the vibrant mix of cultures we have here. When it comes to designing for each client, my approach is rooted in attentive listening and understanding their unique desires, ensuring the creation of spaces that seamlessly align with their lifestyle and preferences.
Establishing Ray George Interiors in 2017 coincided with my pursuit of an Interior Design Diploma. My venture was driven by a profound commitment to preserving my grandfather's legacy, a decision solidified a year after his passing as I cared for him during his battle with Alzheimer's. This experience further deepened my bond with his life's work, inspiring the foundation of RGI.
